Patricia Ann Taylor was born January 20, 1959, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Leon Pleasant and Anna Mae Taylor. She was the youngest of four siblings. PattiAnne, as she was affectionately known, was raised in Portsmouth, Ohio, and was a 1978 graduate of Portsmouth High School. PattiAnn’s spiritual journey began at an early age when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, and she continued her relationship and strong faith in Christ throughout her entire life. She was a member of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Senior Usher Board until her health began to fail.
Patricia and Dwight “Ike” Woodson united in marriage on April 20, 1997, marking the beginning of a shared journey. Together, they lovingly helped raise a nephew, Darrell Taylor, during his childhood. Patricia worked at several jobs throughout her life, but it was her work as a caregiver that brought her the most joy. In a selfless act of kindness, Patricia would often open her arms and home to care for anyone in need.
She cherished her quality time with her family and friends. She was an exceptional cook and loved to garden. She was always praising God! PattiAnn was a woman with many passions. Her favorite pastime was to Go Blue for her favorite team, the Michigan Wolverines! She was known for her infectious smile and hilarious sense of humor. She touched so many lives with her genuine love for people. PattiAnn had a larger-than-life spirit, and her loss will be felt by all who knew her.
Patricia was proceeded in death by her parents: Anna Mae Taylor and Leon Pleasant; Brother, Rodney Taylor; Sister, Carolyn Williams; Grandparents, Eva Mae and Murray Johnson; And a nephew whom she reared, Darrell Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Dwight “Ike” Woodson of Columbus, Ohio; Brother, Charles Taylor (Dorothy); and Sister/Cousin, Kay Barlow (Alan) of Portsmouth, Ohio; a special nephew, Malik “Shawn” Muhammad (Leisha) of Columbus, Ohio; a goddaughter, Kaneesha Cobb and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church family.
