Randall Wesley Smith, 58, departed from this life to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025. He was born and raised in Xenia, Ohio.
Randy attended Greene Joint Vocational School and graduated from Xenia High School in 1985. He went on to join the military and served in the 1st Aviation USAREUR. He received several awards and decorations, including the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Aircraft Crewman Badge. He was honorably discharged. He later worked at Chrysler/Behr and Wright-Patterson AFB for many years.
For those who knew Smiity, you knew that he did not mince words and spoke the truth, even the hard ones. Those words had love behind them and were often followed by a comedic tidbit. You also know he was a true, enthusiastic Bengalized Bengals fan. He was able to see a Bengals win before his passing.
Randy is survived by his doting mother, Beverly Smith, Siblings: Tracey Gray, Lori Price, and Johnna (Ronald) Williams. The light of his life was his daughter, Tarryn, and his cherished grandchildren, Madison and Aidan Wesley. He also leaves loving family members, Thomas (Rose) Crockett, Carol (Jack) Hall, Judith Crockett, Janet (Jan) Williams, and Angeline Smith. He will be missed by his niece, Jalayna, and his nephews, Turon Wesley and Garrett Wesley.
He shared a brotherly bond with his cousin Glenn Phelps. In addition, caring cousins Erin Crockett and Brandon Williams. And close friends Jeff Weaver, Melissa Blaylock, and her children, Andrew, Jesse, Desiree, and his little buddy, Wesley.
