Raymond “Ray” Currie, 47, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1978. In Canton, Ohio, where he attended Canton McKinley High School. He enjoyed sports, going to the movies, fishing, and dancing.

Preceding him in death are his Grandparents: Rev. Clinnie Lee Sr. and Francis Lee. Grandfather, Henry Williams; Aunts: Gloria Jean Parker, Angela Williams, and Beverly Ledford. Uncles: Clinnie and Samuel Lee, Ralph, Henry, Danell, and Warren Currie. Niece: De’Zhonae Atkins.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory, his Mother, Janette Sumpter, and his Father, Benjamin “Ben” Lee. Grandmother Sarah Major Williams, Sister: Kathy Currie, and Charice Sumpter. Brother Jarius Cherie Sumpter. Aunts: Cathy Cooper, Leslie Lee, Sharon Lee, Francine (Neil) Stevens, and Angela (Larry) Mallory. Nephews: Demetrius Atkins, D’marguez Atkins, Sincere Drake, Jarius Sumpter Jr., James Sumpter, Jaiden Sumpter, and Mecca Matthews. Nieces: De'Zire Atkins, Isis Jackson, Honesty Mattews, Jozlynn Sumpter, and Blessing Matthews. Special Cousin: Thomas (Richele) Woods and a host of cousins and friends.
