With profound sadness, the family of Regina Faye Jefferson, age 70, announces her passing on Wednesday, October 08, 2025.
Born on February 23, 1955, Regina lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith. She was known for her generosity, ability to decorate, and her knowledge she shared with all she knew. Regina was a beloved mother, cousin, and friend whose spirit and wisdom touched everyone she met.
She graduated from Lincoln Senior High School in East St. Louis, IL. After High School, she attended SIU Carbondale before moving to Ohio. After moving to Ohio, she continued her weekly phone calls with her loving mom and Grandmother Derender Watts
Regina had a remarkable talent and passion for event planning and catering, and she was well-known for hosting some of the most beautiful and memorable parties. Her attention to detail and creative touch made every occasion special and unforgettable. She found great joy in bringing people together, celebrating life's moments, and creating spaces filled with warmth, love, and laughter.
In her younger years, Regina proudly participated as a Debutante, an experience that reflected her grace, poise, and elegance-qualities that continued to shine throughout her life.
Regina loved her family and traveling to her hometown, East St. Louis, IL, where she was able to travel for her Family Reunion for the last time in July. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends every chance she got.
Regina leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son and her heart, Mario Jefferson of Mansfield. Her Aunts are Winifred Hogan, Jacki Nelson, Gwendolyn Watts, and Sondra Watts, and one uncle, Waye Watts. Special Cousin Shirley Franklin, along with a host of loving relatives and dear friends, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Lorean Watts and Gerald Watts.
Following the Graveside service, the Repast will be at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 292 Charles St, Mansfield, OH 44903.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.
