Richard Lee Jones

Richard Lee Jones “Six-Nine”, age 49 was called home to rest with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2025. Richard was born on April 3,1976 in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Frank Jones Jr. and Sharon Traylor. 

He attended Linden McKinley High School. Rich was hard-working, funny, outgoing, and protective of his family and friends. He loved traveling, trying new foods, and hanging with family and friends at gatherings, where his laughter and joking nature were always felt. He also loved listening to the old school music that his father introduced him to. 

Richard operated his own business, Jones Gutters and Home Improvement, for several years and then went on to work for Anderson Concrete over the last three years.

Rich was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Treadway and brother Frank Jones III. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Tanisha Brown-Jones; children, Reginald Sistrunk II (India), Tamiah Jones, Heavenly Griffin, NyAsia Griffin, Richard Jones Jr. and Jaiden Jones; Brother Andre Jones and Sisters April Jones and Shannon Traylor; Grandchildren, Jayden Sistrunk and Myliah Jones-Smith; Nephews, Aaron Jones, Rassoul Diallo, Christian Jones, Quentin Saunders, Demetrius Traylor; Nieces Makenzie Jones and Zella Pri Jones- Scott; Dearest friends Keith James, John Hargrave, Alphonzo Zellner, Charles Wise and Roger Palmer; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

Richard’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the memories he created with those who loved him.
