Preceded in death by his loving parents Pearley Glen and Carol Jean Gable, Nephew Antonio Lamonte Gable, as well as loving grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Survived by daughter, Brittany Gable, grandson, Amari Gable, Siblings, sister, Alma Johnson, Sherry Gable, and Margurite Reynolds. Brothers: Pearley G. Gable, Jr, and John A. Gable, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Bobby was raised in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Livingston Elementary School, and Mohawk Jr. /Sr. High School. Everyone who knew him truly loved and admired him. Bobby achieved great recognition for being a star football player, and he was crowned Homecoming King Mohawk Indians, Class ‘1978.

At the age of 17, Bobby enlisted into the United States Navy where he received high rankings and multitude of awards for his amazing work achievements serving for over 35 years serving working for United States Government for soaring greatly in variers impressive leadership positions retiring in 2015.

Bobby had a passion for boxing as well as a passion for coaching the sport. Bobby had a remarkable boxing career that began at Sawer Recreation Center and Black Burn Recreation Center at a very young age, which led him to achieve various championships and high medal awards. His boxing accomplishments: 1977, Golden Gloves at 105 lbs., 1981 All Navy Champion at 125 lbs., 2000 Barack Recreation Center Boxing Coach, 2013 YMCA Woodland Boxing Coach, and later in having his very own boxing league, leading his young teams to many champions in Detroit, Michigan, 2013-2015. In 2020, Bobby was awarded special Boxing Legend recognition for his amazing boxing achievements in his community.

Bobby was very well known for his bright, warm smile and caring, friendly nature. He had a warm, charismatic, humble presence and a kind spirit that made everyone feel good being in his presence. Bobby loved his family more than anything in this world. He was loved and liked by everyone who knew him. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
