Robert Earl Riley, Sr., 70 of Memphis Tennessee, transition from this life on January 25, 2026.
Robert was born to Charles and Bonnie Jean Riley on January 16, 1956. Robert was a devoted son, husband for 48 years, father, grandfather, great grandfather, godfather, uncle, nephew, brother, cousin and friend.
Robert accepted Christ in 2000 at "The Word Church" International under the leadership of Pastor E. T. Parker, III .
Robert loved to pray and became the pastor's personal prayer intercessor, then the intercessor for the entire church. Roberts dedication cost him to matriculate from a praying brother, to a Deacon, to a Minister, to an Elder, then to the Assistant Pastor. For more than two decades, Robert began every service praying with and for his Pastor in what is called "The Upper Room." Robert and Eddie were known at "The Word Church" International as twin brothers; this spoke of the love they had, friends closer than brothers.
Robert enjoyed music, dancing, cooking, selling ribs, family gatherings, traveling collecting fine jewelry, suits, shoes, and driving a nice fresh clean car.
Robert was a very hard worker, sometimes working three jobs to provide for his family. He worked over the years at; Buckeye Steel, Carousel Inn, the Radisson Hotel as a dishwasher. Later, he worked at Doubles Bar and Grill, The Lakes Golf Course as a cook and then at Bob Summeral Tires as a Forklift driver. When Robert retired, he took a part-time job as a Security Guard at Sheets., until he could no longer work.
He is proceeded in death by his grandfather: Tommy Riley; grandmother: Matilda Riley; father: Charles Riley; mother: Bonnie Jean Riley and Sister: Sharon Riley.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his Wife for 48 years: Joann Riley; Sons: Michael Price (Samantha), Robert E. Riley.Jr., Izick Riley, Rodney Riley (Courtney), Randy Riley, Ronald Riley(Amber), Terrell Paterson, Isaiah Riley and Ivan Riley; Daughters: Michelle Price, Tawanna Jennings (Rico), his Beloved Baby Girl: India Riley; over 50 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, many Godchildren and Great Godchildren; Brothers: Dwight Riley, Jack Riley, Kent Riley and Michael Riley; Sisters: Thelma Rader (Randy), Sheila Crockett (John) and a host of Aunts, 1 Uncle, Nieces, Nephews, Friends and of course his Covenant Friend and Twin Brother: Eddie (Teresa) Parker, III
Robert was one of a kind and he will be greatly missed. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he came in contact with.
