Samson Minor

Samson J. Minor was born October 21, 1982, Newark, Ohio to the late Samson Ensley and Tonya Prater. Samson departed this life on Saturday June 26, 2025, at the age of 42, in Columbus Ohio.

Samson is preceded in death by his father, Samson Ensley; grandparents, James and Pearl Minor; special cousins, Tyshawnna Hinton, Robert Johnson, Jr. And Uncle Eric Young, Sr. 

Samson attended Columbus Public Schools and received certifications in Medical Assisting and Carpentry. In the last few years, he accepted Jesus Christ. He was a happy and loving son and very much adored his mother and often told her “Mom you got to do better” he loved writing and recording music and enjoyed precious moments with his sister Paris and Brother Justin. He lived a life of love and giving to his family and will be deeply missed. He cherished his grandfather, spending precious time playing golf with him and often reflected on the memories and lessons instilled by Grandma Pearl. He was the family handyman, always going out his way helping others in need including the elderly.

Samson is survived by five beautiful daughters, Kaijah, Sammiya, Azzlyn, Samrynn, and Kaeleaunna, and five handsome sons, Dezzis, Samson Jr, Levi, Legend and Giovonni. They were the joy of his life and the truest reflection of his heart.

His mother Tonya,(Wayne) Prater, sister Paris Trammell and brother Justin Minor, Aunts Felicia Judge, and Portia Johnson. Great Aunt Patricia Maye, Stepfather Lance Trammell beloved nephews Idris Lawrence, Justin Jr and Jayden. Special Cousins Tyjuan Hinton, Juwon Minor, Willie Baylor, Eric Young, Brooks Adams. Special Friends, Demetrius Ransom, Kevin Turner and Corey Brooks. The Ruk-Boi Squad, And a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
