1962 Graduate of South High School, where he was a quarterback for the football team. He then served in the U.S. AirForce as a Jet Engine Mechanic during the Vietnam Conflict. He later became an Architectural Draftsman.

Preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. He leaves to morn, Priscila Wilson, 2 sons; Anthony Wilson and Samuel L. Wilson Jr., a daughter; Joy Hillman, Granddaughter; Sarai Wilson, Grandson; James (Sackito) Goss, Great-grandson; Elijah Goss, 2 Sisters; Marealla Patterson, Barbara W. Thornton, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
