Samuel Woods

Samuel Ledford Woods was born August 6, 1969, and called home on June 19, 2026.

Sam was born in Berry, Alabama to his loving parents Eunice Hollingsworth and Samuel Woods. From Alabama, his parents relocated to Dayton, Ohio. After spending some time in Dayton, the family moved to Columbus, Ohio where he attended Ohio Elementary School, Indianola Middle School, and Whetstone High School.

Sam has a strong passion for construction, fixing cars, as well as handy man work. He would fix your house up then admire the work he has done. Sam took pride in his work and everything he did. Sam loved spending time with his family. He had a close and special relationship with his children and grandchildren. He also had special relationships with his siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Sam's legacy of humor, hard work, and dedication to his family will be carried through everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Sam will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Sam is proceeded in death by his Mother: Eunice Hollingsworth; Father: Samuel Woods; Grandmother: Juanita Hollingsworth, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Sam is survived by his Siblings: Richard Hollingsworth, Tracy Murry, Tammy Marsh, Teresa Hollingsworth, Sean Petty and Racheal Petty; his Children: Shanee Woods, Samuel Woods, Shawntia (Tia) Woods, Joshua West, Karen Burns, Austin Woods, and Savion Woods; 13 Grandchildren; one Great-Grand, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
