Shasta Lee Foster

January 16, 1989 — May 5, 2026

Shasta Lee Foster, born to Monica Moody and Stephen Foster on January 16, 1989, departed her earthly life on May 5th, 2026.

As a child, Shasta was very artistic and talented. She enjoyed playing and going to church, drawing, pretending she was a teacher, imitating movies, singing, and jumping Double Dutch. Shasta won many competitions across the nation and was recognized as a Gold Medalist Double Dutch Champion.

Shasta accepted the Lord at a young age and loved God with all her heart. Her faith carried her through life’s challenges and served as a source of strength, comfort, and guidance. Even in difficult times, she kept her faith and continued to trust in God’s plan.

Shasta graduated from The Arts & College Preparatory Academy in 2007 and later became certified in cosmetology, tattooing, esthetician services, and even provided tax services. She might have prepared a tax return or two for you!

Shasta was definitely a numerologist and a go-getter. That girl always had her hand in something. From entrepreneurship to phlebotomy school, she tried on a few hats, while deciding what she wanted to do.

She was willing to make her coin by any means necessary. Especially when it came to providing for her 2 beautiful children, Amaija and Kaiden.

She did not play about them. They were truly the loves of her life.

Shasta was family-oriented, and the bonds she shared with family and friends were rooted in love, loyalty, and laughter. She loved hard and protected the people closest to her, those siblings! She was the kind of sister who was supportive and always willing to stand, sit, or fill in the gap. No matter what the circumstance, she was always down to ride for her fam! She had a village behind her who loved and supported her though every season of life. Shasta’s presence brought people together in a special kind of way: “Come on y’all, what we doing today?” she'd say.

She had a beautiful voice, loved to sing, dance, and have a good time. And of course, she was the life of the party. Oh, and she could make a mean sweet potato casserole — if you know, you know! It was always the first dish to go. Her energy was contagious, she was unapologetic and her laugh was unforgettable. She brought joy wherever she went, turning everyday moments into memories that will be remembered and cherished forever.

There are many words we can use to describe Shasta: beautiful, God-Fearing, good-hearted, open-minded, loving, caring, positive, supportive, protective, encouraging, loyal, artistic, funny, and a joy to be around. But the one thing that stood above them all was the love she had for people. Shasta's presence left a lasting impact on everyone privileged to know her; she will truly be missed by all.

Shasta is preceded in death by Her Grandfather’s Charles Moody, Gene Bennett, Grandmother Claudette Foster, and Great-Grandmother Georgia Sims.
