Shirley Ann Mitchell

Shirley Ann Mitchell, age 67 of Mansfield,Ohio passed away on February 16,2026.

Shirley was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High class of 1977. She was employed at the Richland county Maintenance Department for 22 years.

Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her loving heart , open home, and joyful spirit. Shirley welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness, and her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and love.

She was truly the life of the party and enjoyed dancing to the blues, and her joyful energy could light up any room. She cherished time spent with family and friends and found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by those she loved.

Shirley had a special love for her granddaughter Ava(Boom Boom), who brought her endless pride and joy.

She is survived by her daughter Aleah(Johnathen) Harper ; her siblings, Lyna(Kim) Mitchell, Otis(Shelia) Mitchell, twin sister Rosa Fields, and sister Lynne Cobb Martin and host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her close friends Jana Odell, Condrea Corley, Judith Black , Gwen Butler , Valerie Harper , Ralph Nixon, and several other dear friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Annie (Jessie) Mitchell, her sister Arzella Cobb-Rondo, her grandmother Rosie Lee Jackson, her niece Theresa Cobb , and her nephew Michael Brooks.

Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched with her kindness , laughter , and welcoming spirit.
