Tanya Lynn Holloway

Born January 5, 1975, in Columbus, Ohio, Tanya Lynn Holloway was the second child of Patricia and Jacob Holloway II. She and her brother, Jake, shared a close bond despite their nine-year age difference. Tanya often said he was like a second father to her.

Tanya was a lifelong member of the AOH Church of God, Inc., where she dedicated her life to Christ at a young age and served in various ministries. In recent years, she became a member of Solomon's Temple under the direction of Pastor Michelle Solomon.

Tanya graduated from Marion Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio, and spent her career as a Customer Service Representative. Her favorite pastimes included writing poetry, playing board games, and spending quality time with her great nieces and nephews. She was proud to tell everyone that her greatest accomplishment and feeling of pride came from the birth of her daughter, Nyla, in 1999.

The marriage of Tanya's mother to Burnice Patterson in 1976 brought additional family into her life. Tanya and her brother welcomed Fonda and Albert Patterson, Burnice's grandchildren, as siblings. Family members Jeff Patterson and DeLana Russell-Clay were also frequent and cherished guests in the family home.

Tanya was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jacob Holloway Sr. and George Russell; grandmothers, Frances "Lucille" White and Madelyn J. Russell; her fathers, Jacob Holloway II and Burnice Patterson; and her aunt, Lillie Rutledge.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Nyla Holloway; her mother, Patricia (Jackie) Smith; her brother, Bishop Jacob (Rita) Holloway III; other siblings, John, Jana, Trisha and Angela Holloway; grandmother, Bertha Holloway; great-aunt Rosetta "Toots" Hall; uncles, Walter (Renee) Russell, Michael Russell, Ernest Holloway, and Clarence (Barbara) Holloway; aunts, Renee Hall, Linda (Larry) Floyd, and Donnett Groves along with the extended Patterson, Smith, and Fluellen families; her cherished childhood friends Shawn Johnson, Lisha Williams, Tomika Whitt, and Tyanna McDowell; and a host of beloved family and friends.
