Thomas Slocum Sr.

Thomas L. Slocum, Sr. 64. Sunrise July 19, 1960 and Sunset May 16, 2025. Thomas was born in Columbus, OH and he attended Columbus City Schools. Thomas was a graduate of Xavier High School in Appleton, WI and attended The Ohio State University. He was a retired Computer Network Specialist, and he spent many years of his career as an employee of Columbus Regional Airport Authority and Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. Thomas was baptized at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church. Thomas was a huge OSU Buckeye football fan, and he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Thomas was preceded in death by parents Andrew and Anna Slocum, brother Andre Slocum and grandparents Ollean and Lenzy Byrd, Gladys and Arthur Slocum.

Thomas is survived by his wife Gerry LaFrances Slocum and their children Cortney Slocum and Cedric Slocum. Brenda Walker, mother of their children Eric Slocum, Thomas Jr. (Chantelle) Slocum, Alesia Slocum; 6 grandchildren; sister, Renee Slocum, brothers, Ralph Slocum, Garald Slocum, Eric Slocum; in-laws James and Darla Reid, Sylvester and Linda Gill of Baltimore, Maryland, a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
