Tony Sylverster McLean affectionately known as “Chubby” was born to the late David Earl McLean Sr. and Zella Louise McLean (Susie) on December 30, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio.

He attended Columbus Public Schools Northland High School and Fort Hayes Career Center, and he was employed with the City of Bexley and Gordon Keith Manufacturing Steel Company as a welder for several years until he retired.

Tony loved being surrounded by his dear family and friends. His laughter always filled the room with joy and excitement. From an early age he fell in love with football and basketball which he played so well. He enjoyed sharing the highlights of the games with his Special uncle James McKrimmon (Goodie) as he truly was a major NFL fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and a huge College fan of the Michigan State football teams. He really enjoyed watching Wrestling Big Time! He enjoyed traveling, attending his annual family reunion, local family gatherings, and hanging out with his special friends Tim Cochron, Mike Croon, and Fred. Growing up in the former Power House and Independent Missionary Church Of God In Christ - Church where he began to play the drums and become the drummer for the Spiritual Tornados and the Gospel Clouds of Joy and he played for various well know Quartet Groups.

Tony was proceeded in death by his late grandmother Romelia McLean, his father the late David Earl McLean Sr, his brother the late Rudy Darnell McLean, Special Aunt the late Helen M. James (Recee), Special cousin the late Joseph Draughon (Pumpkin) and Special Uncle the late Rudolph McLean. He leaves to cherish his memories of his loving Mother Zella Louise McLean (Susie) and dear Brother David Anthony McLean Jr, Tray Vaughn Trent (Son) uncles, aunts, cousins, close Friends.
