Tonya Marie Jackson

November 7, 1965 — May 28, 2026

Tonya Marie Jackson, lovingly known as "Tammy," was born on November 7, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, to Sonja Marie Finch and Stephen Eugene Jackson. Tammy departed this life peacefully on May 28, 2026.

Tammy graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1984, where she proudly participated in track and field. She was known for her warm heart, vibrant spirit, and the deep love she carried for her family and friends throughout her life.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Stephen E. Jackson; her grandparents, Thomas and Marietta Finch, Bernice Jones, and Eugene Tomlinson; her aunts, Donna Keaton, Diane Jones, Michelle "G.G." Fields, and Karen Finch Rollins; her uncles, Thomas Finch, Craig Jackson, and Gino Tomlinson; and her sister, Tracy Brown.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory and honor her legacy: her mother, Sonja Nallie; her beloved sons, Darren T. ''T.J'' Jackson, Dontae Jackson Bones Son, and bonus son Carlos "Two" Taylor Jr.; her sisters, Nicole Jackson, Stephanie Jackson, and Terri Brown; her brothers, Ronald (Tamika) Nallie Jr. and Jerome Holliday; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Tammy also shared a special bond with her cousin, Robin Logan, and her best friend, Pamela Perry.

Tammy shared a loving relationship for over 30 years with Richard "Dre" Glenn, who remained faithfully by her side until the very end. His love, care, and devotion were deeply appreciated by both Tammy and her family.

Tammy had a heart of gold and a joyful spirit. She loved shopping for gadgets, hosting family get-togethers, and playing cards with loved ones. Above all else, Tammy adored her sons - they were truly the light of her life and her greatest pride.
The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her cousin, Nelita "Poochie" Randall, for the love, spiritual guidance, and support she poured into Tammy throughout her illness. Poochie faithfully visited Tammy several times each week, reading and explaining scripture to her. Through those moments of faith, love, and encouragement, Tammy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior not long before her passing.

Tammy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, laughter, strength, and the memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.

As Tammy would refer to her favorite song "One nation under the groove" - a phrase made famous by the legendary Funkadelic song celebrating unity, joy, freedom, and coming together through love and music. It was a saying that reflected Tammy's spirit, the way she brought people together, and the lasting energy she leaves behind with everyone who loved her.

Rest peacefully, Tammy.
