Vincent Christopher Wilburn, a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, transitioned into the loving arms of our heavenly father on Friday, May 9, 2025. He was 24 years old. Vincent resided in Blacklick, Ohio, with his parents, Kellie and Christopher Wilburn. He was born on October 5, 2000, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Vincent never met a stranger; his infectious smile could brighten any room and lift the spirits of those around him. He taught his family the true meaning of unconditional love and was a true gift to all who knew him. A proud graduate of Licking Heights High School in Blacklick, Ohio. Vincent found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including his favorite places like O’Charley’s, for their prime rib with au jus, Roosters, and Bob Evans, where they all knew him very well. The pantry at his home and his Mimi and Papa’s home were stacked with Cheetos, Sprite, Oreos, and Life Savers. Vincent loved the thrill of long car rides. He and his Mimi spent countless hours singing “Jesus Loves Me” and “Let the Church Say Amen”. He would clap along while singing with absolutely no rhythm at all. Vincent and his late Auntie B, each morning, would sing, “You Are My Sunshine”. He took great pleasure in giving orders. Such precious moments are fondly remembered by everyone.
Vincent possessed a brilliant, picturesque mind, showcasing remarkable abilities in putting puzzles and objects together. His unique perspective on life and his unwavering spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his lovely aunt, Auntie B- Billie Shawn Thomas, and uncle, Darwin “Dino” Dean Wilburn. Vincent is survived by his parents, twin sisters, Brionna Jones (Cincinnati, OH) and Tionna Jones Dudley (Georgetown, KY). He is also mourned by his grandparents, Vincent “Papa” and Edna “Mimi” Thomas (Columbus, OH), and Velma “Granny” Wilburn (Maysville, KY); two cherished nieces, McKinleigh and Mira Dudley (Georgetown, KY). He leaves behind aunts, Allison Wilburn Black (Maysville, KY) and Valerie (Rod) King (Radcliff, KY); and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who hold him dear to their hearts. Vincent is also remembered fondly by his extended family, the Smiley family- Janet, Jacob, Jonathan, Jessica, and Jess (all of Columbus, OH), James (Los Angeles, CA), and Joseph (Columbus, GA).
Rest in peace, dear Vincent. You will be forever missed and cherished in our hearts.
