Virgil A. Gibson “Ms. Bea”, age 79, gained her wings July 25th, 2025, after a short illness.
Ms. Bea was born January 27, 1946, in Ventress, Louisiana to Ozzie and Daisy L. Gremillion. She later moved to Cleveland Ohio where she graduated from Glenville High School and was Valedictorian of her class.
Ms. Bea relocated to Columbus Ohio where she remained in her home on Lexington Ave for 50 plus years until her passing. Ms. Bea retired from Owens – Illinois as a QA Inspector. She also managed Mally Gal’s lounge for 10 plus years.
Although not active, Ms. Bea was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Ms. Bea loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers. She loved to cook, especially her Creole Southern dishes such as the Gumbo that everyone loved. She loved dancing and you could also find her out thrifting and catching deals.
Ms. Bea loved all sports and was a die-hard Michigan and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved to travel. She was a loving mother, grand- mother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
Ms. Bea had a loving heart and would help anyone. She was the neighborhood mom and life of the party. She was a loving and caring person in all seasons of life and a true survivor that turned every trial into triumph.
Virgil A Gibson “Ms. Bea” was proceeded in death by her husband Raymond J. Gibson II, her parents Ozzie and Daisy Gremillion, brother Sidney J. Gremillion, nephew Anthony Gremillion and grandparents.
Those left to carry on Ms. Bea’s Life Legacy are her children, Michael Ramsey Sr., Rose Ramsey Robinson, Raymond Gibson III, Rosalyn Gibson all of Columbus, Ohio; bonus daughter, Sharon “Sweetie” Brown (Kenneth); bonus son, Fred Holt of Columbus Ohio; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; brothers, Anthony Gremillion, Joseph Greene, Mark Green all of Cleveland Ohio, Carl Gremillion of Louisiana; sister, Deborah McCray (Lionel) of Baton Rouge Louisiana; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
To know Ms. Bea was to love her. Her kind-hearted giving spirit was unlimited to all that knew her.
