Waymond Carroll Williams Jr., affectionately known as "Dude," was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 30, 1967 to Waymond Sr. and Frances Williams. He was the 'baby boy' from this union.
Dude received his education from the Detroit Public Schools system. After graduation, he moved to Columbus and met Saglenda Smith. Dude and Saglenda enjoyed family and traveling where many memories were made.
Dude's career included employment time Horton Emergency Vehicles as well as Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), a place where he enjoyed serving his community most. Eventually, he chose to follow in his father's footsteps opening Unkle Paw Paw's, a popular Soul Food restaurant. Those who enjoyed his culinary creations learned he was as talented in the kitchen as his parents.
Dude was also a BIG SPORTS guy! He enjoyed the NBA, the NFL and was passionate about all things University of Michigan Wolverines. During football season, you wouldn't catch him without his Michigan gear. And he was quick to quip, "Go Blue," to anyone in his presence. He loved shooting pool with his dad and friends. In his later years Dude was inspired by brothers Wendell and Gary Tucker to learn the game of golf. His nephew Pots often teased him saying, "Big Fella, ain't nobody playing golf!"
Dude lived for family and good times. He loved playing cards, music, and lots of laughs!
He earned his wings February, 1, 2026 surrounded by a loving family. Is preceded in death by his parents, Waymond Williams Sr., mother Frances Williams, and sister Yvette Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Saglenda Williams, son Parrish Smith, Sisters Wanda Williams, Rain (Everett) Robinson, brothers Waymone (Tangi) Williams, Tyrone (Dannita) Reggins, Shaun (Toya) Smith, Mother In Love, Janice Smith, Brother In Love Vaughn (Kathy) Smith, Nine Grandchildren a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, Special niece Monica "BeNiece" Wells, Special Nephews "Pots" and "Zeek".
