William "Bill" Jackson Jr.

William Merle Jackson Jr., “Bill,” age 49. Sunrise January 9, 1977, and Sunset January 19, 2026.

William, affectionately called Bill, was born to William Merle Jackson Sr. and Vendetta Jackson in Columbus, Ohio.

Bill attended Columbus Public Schools and was a graduate of Independence High School and the Radio Broadcasting Program at Fort Hayes Career Center. Following graduation, Bill held positions at many local companies, including caring for individuals with developmental challenges and handicaps. For the past several years, and most recently, Bill simultaneously worked for Flash Global Logistics and Continental Cafe Inc., Cuyahoga Group. Bill lived by the value of integrity, and he brought dedication, compassion, and a tireless work ethic to every company and career path he embarked on.

Known for his warm heart and loving and caring disposition, Bill was truly a pillar of support for his family and friends. Bill’s personality was one of infectious warmth, humor, and open-hearted generosity. Bill gave his very best at everything—relentlessly dedicated in every endeavor, and his life was a testament to consistent effort. Bill always brought his best to the moment, and he was a model of diligence and perseverance.

Bill was a selfless soul whose life was defined by unwavering love for his family and friends. There was absolutely nothing Bill would not do for the people he loved—often putting the needs of others before his own. In all aspects and in every respect, Bill was truly a gift!

Bill is preceded in death by Grandparents Bessie and Paul Williamson; Mildred Lambert, Great-Grandmothers Laura Crenshaw and Gertrude Murray, and Cousin Carl Williamson Jr.

Bill is survived by his loving Mother Vendetta Jackson of Columbus, Aunt Mary Williamson, Uncle Carl Williamson. Bill is also survived by his Sister Tamara (Dontrae) Moore, two Nieces, Hailey (Donovan) Simms and Chelsea Moore, and two Nephews Christian Moore and Tyler Moore. Cousin Darnell (Schalen) Williamson, Aunts Taira Lambert, Kathy Kelly, Uncle Paul Lambert, Cousins Lacee (Tony) Richardson, Brandon (Hayley) Lambert, Daylen, and Jordan Lambert. Special Cousin Trisha. Additionally, Bill was survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Notably, lifelong friends Delroy A. Walker, LaShanda Walker, Joe Brown Jr., Edward Buggs, Steve, and Brian.
