Willie Mae Dawson-Bob

April 7, 1927 — November 12, 2025

It is with profound love and grateful hearts, the family announces the peaceful transition of Mother Willie Mae Bob, who entered eternal rest on November 12, 2025, at the blessed age of 98.

Born on April 7, 1927, in Reidsville, North Carolina, Mother Willie Mae lived a long and remarkable life shaped by strength, grit, humor, and undeniable character. She was a tough cookie-strong-willed, sharp, and unafraid to lead with authority. She ruled her home with an iron fist wrapped in love, and her presence commanded both respect and admiration.

Mother Willie Mae loved the simple joys of life. She found peace in gardening, delight in fishing, and comfort in baking, blessing her family with food made from the heart. She also had a unique talent for "working her way"-she was often paid to be on-site for jobs where she didn't lift a finger, yet everything ran smoother just because she was there. Her life, her personality, and her work ethic were truly one of a kind.

She was the devoted mother of Charles Dawson and Dorothy Mae Wilson, whom she loved fiercely. She was blessed with loving grandchildren whom she cherished deeply: Angela "Angie" Wilson, Charles Anthony Dawson, and Charnora Reid

She also embraced her bonus grandchildren, Joyce Moncrief, Carol Turner, Richard Wilson, Michael Pearce, and Debbie Pearce. She leaves behind approximately 35 great-grandchildren, as well as 41 great-great-grandchildren.

Mother Willie Mae received devoted care up until her last days from her daughter Dorothy, her granddaughter Angela, and her great-granddaughters An'janee Wilson and A'niya Anderson-Wilson, whose dedication ensured she remained surrounded by comfort, honor, and love.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Bob, her parents, her siblings, her extended loved ones, and many lifelong friends who now welcome her home in glory. Mother Willie Mae's life will be celebrated with gratitude, reverence, and joy. Her legacy of strength, discipline, humor, and unwavering love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great children, and all who were blessed to be part of her life.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." - Psalm 116:15
