Eileen Cudgel was born February 18, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio to Gerald and Erma Jean Rice. Eileen was the oldest of seven children. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the age of 81.
Eileen was educated through Columbus Public Schools and was employed with Techneglas until her retirement. She was a faithful member of the New Generation Church. She also was an Easter Star, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Elieen was an avid shopper; she loved shopping every weekend with her Babygirl and was truly devoted to her husband Sam Cudgel.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Erma Jean Rice, husband Samuel L. Cudgel, Jr., son Gary Harris, daughter J. Cherrilyn Goodwin, sister Phyllis (Jerri) Edwards, brother Gregory Rice and stepdaughter Rhonda Hester-Cowart.
Eileen also known as Burger is survived by her children Gina L. Harris, Tony (Kayla) Richardson and Tracy Y. Cudgel. She also leaves to cherish her precious memories grandchildren Nathan Moore, Latisha Harris, Shanice Harris, Joseph Goodwin Sr., DeJuan Davidson, Sr., John Goodwin, Brianna Goodwin, Brittany Goodwin, Marquis Richardson and DreAngelo Harris;14 great-grandchildren; sisters Janice (Jerry) Givens, Kim Rice, and Sharon (Ray) Bowman; brothers Gene (Norice) Rice and Darryl Rice; aunts Dana Jones and Gloria White; sister in law Mary A. Cudgel-Topp; brother in-law Oliver Edwards and special friend Charsley Evans.
