Winston Elijah Burnom

August 20, 1993 — April 29, 2026

Mansfield

Winston Elijah Burnom was born August 20, 1993, in Ashland, Ohio to Winston W. Burnom and Wenda M. Burnom (Swarn). Winston attended Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. At an early age Winston was baptized and became an active member until his passing. Winston graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 2011.

Winston's work history started in 2011 at (Broshco Fabricated Products) where his duties was a machine operator. Winston eventually branched out in 2013 and worked for (UPS) as a package handler then with (MTD Products Corporation) as a machine operator. He then found the job that he enjoyed most, being a Construction Worker/ Roofing and the tasks he was most proud of is when he and his team traveled to Columbus, Ohio to work on a Chase Bank skyscraper building and The LeBron James' Home Court (Museum) in Akron, Ohio.

Winston was known for his huge smile and positive attitude matched with confidence that would light up any room he walked into!

At an early age, Winston was so fascinated with looking at stars with his binoculars, that he regularly dreamt of becoming an Astronaut. His parents would often take him and his brother Moses on NASA tours where they'd see real demonstrations of rocket ships taking off and ever since, anything Winston would pursue, the sky's the limit!

Winston was involved in many extracurricular activities such as playing football for The Mansfield Senior High School Tygers in 2009, becoming a (Mi Phi Mi) Stepper with his schoolmates and later, his own younger brother, Moses.

People looked forward to watching the (Mi Phi Mi) Steppers perform at The Mansfield Public Library for Black History Month. Winston also enjoyed being a member of The Black Culture Club after school where they'd serve the community and learned about Black History.

Winston and his brother Moses were also members of The NAACP. They did all sorts of community service growing up, such as planting flowers, and gardening in downtown Mansfield.

Winston was also very dedicated to learning and improving his knowledge by reading The Bible and afterwards, having discussions with his Mom which led to ending his days in prayer.

Winston was very family oriented. The kind of love he had for his children and family was the highest form of love, Agape love.

Winston was preceded in death by his father: Winston W. Burnom.

Winston leaves to cherish his memories a Son: Kyngston Elijah Burnom (ten) , whose mother is Amanda R. Hendrickson; a Daughter: Kya Marie Laraine Burnom (one) , whose mother is Aleaha L. Potter; his loving Mother: Wenda M. Burnom (Swarn); his Brother: Moses Burnom; his numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a host of family and friends.
