Zelma is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Zelma Roundtree, Sr; and companion, Paulette Pennington.

Left to cherish his memory, sons, Kaseem (Michelle), Phillip, Caleb (Keir) Pennington; daughter, Samantha Pennington; brother Reginald (Mariama) Roundtree; sisters, Margaret Ann Justice, Betty Jean Howard, DeLois (Hayward) Taylor; Yvonne Robinson, and Denise (Henry) Greene; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
