Otha R. “Spot” Bingham, 87. Sunrise October 10, 1923 – Sunset June 24, 2011. He was born in Hasty, N.C. to the late Edward and Hannah Bingham. In New Haven, Conneticut, Otha was a member of Community Baptist Church, retired from Winchester Arms and owned a neighborhood store. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Allen, Thomas, Benton, Spurgeon and Joe Bingham and Donnie Moses. Left to cherish his memory, daughter Valerie (Chris) Washington, granddaughters Pam Ferguson and Royce (Walter) Carpenter, great grandchildren Anthony, Devin and Nia Carpenter and Christopher Ferguson, great great grandchild Aubrie Carpenter, nieces Bernice James, June Freeman and Betty Woods and a host of other family and friends.
