To all the family you have my deepest sympathy for this moment your heart are grieving but rejoice in that a man of God who has labored faithfully has gown on to his rest. Pastor Elder Michael Nesbitt Sr. was a man of valor and deep conviction of his faith a poetic spirit that strived for the high calling which is in Christ Jesus. Glory open the doors for a earthly soldier with compassion and heart. Boldly preaching the gospel under the anointing. Be proud, be honored, walk in his foot steps that where order by God. Remember this is not good bye but see you later. Because one day all the dead in Christ will rise again and we who remain will be caught up to meet them in the air. Rest in the arms of our Lord take care of each other and know that the body of Christ grieves with you. We love all of the Nesbitt Family.

To the Wife and Family of Pastor Michael Nesbitt. We the Duncan family of the Gospel Light Tabernacle Church in Philadelphia offer our condolence to you along with Calhoun Memorial Temple.
Our hearts were saddened to hear of the passing of Pastor Nesbitt. We remember so many great times as he served under Bishop Mader, under the Church of God Firefox Baptize. So many wonderful messages, songs, Sunday school teachings. He was a great Anointed man of God.
We enjoyed all the meals we shared in church and out. May the word of God lift you knowing St. John 14:1-6 God has prepared a place for him. You will see him again.

A precious one from us is gone but not forgotten. Pastor Michael was indeed an honorable Man of God. How I and his Detroit family will miss his oratory expressions. I have no doubt that that Michael’s being absence from earth; he is present with the Lord. Condolences and love to Regina, his children, grandchildren and to his siblings.

We are so saddened to hear about the passing of our friend, brother and pastor Michael Nesbitt.

My wife and I we’re married in 2010 just after her father passed away in Virginia and then we moved to Ohio to stay with her mom for a little while but that ended up not working out so…

My wife and I was homeless on the streets of Columbus, Ohio and the transmission was messed up in our van it wouldn’t go out of second gear, (it blew up on the way from Virginia as we were going through West Virginia), It was like 5 foot of snow on the ground, we were driving everywhere we could during the day to stay warm looking for work and trying to no be harassed and we were sleeping in the homeless shelter at night but we were separated. My wife was living across the street in the women’s side and I was on the men’s side and we were losing our faith losing our hope and one day we just opened up the phone book and I flipped to the church’s page and I ran my finger down the first page I opened and the first number that stuck out to us was Calhoun Memorial Temple and we called it and about the third ring this strong, comforting, most amazing loving voice said “hello?”and I was so overwhelmed with joy and it just was like immediately I felt no fear, it was like a sigh of relief came over me immediately and so I proceeded to explain to him our plight and he said that he was getting ready to leave the church but he will stay if we can make it so we can talk. So immediately I grabbed the phone book and we took off and we got there as fast as we could (and we still got that same phone book to this day) and we sat down and we spoke and he showed us the most… (I’m trying to say all of this but it is so hard right now but I’m going to try) he showed us the most greatest love that I have ever felt from anyone that’s about the best way that I could describe it.

So we started going on a regular basis Wednesday nights Bible study and Sunday church services and just about any other time in between we would meet up and hang out and my wife and I went to CiCi’s Pizza with Michael and Regina one time and that was the most funniest moment ever, the most amazing time that I ever had with anybody. We end up taking home the pizza the store was going to throw away and brought them back to the homeless shelter and people was happy. I love making people happy

My wife and I was very stressed being on the street and was losing how and it was pulling us apart but they showed so much love for us, they tutored us, they mentored, us and they did not allow us to give up on each other. We became members of the church but my daughter back in Virginia ended up in foster care so my wife and I had to try to find a way to get back to Virginia, we made it to Virginia but we never made it back to Ohio to see our family again, but we have always tried to keep in touch.

After we moved and unsuccessfully got custody of my daughter (she went back to get mother) we found ourselves bouncing around in Virginia trying to find permanent residence.

So one beautiful Sunday morning we were hungry and we had just a little bit of money on our food stamps like $3 or something and just before we decided we were going to stop at the grocery store to maybe get some tomatoes and bread I told God that I was tired of feeling like a failure and I asked him to please help me and my family, well I got a bit distracted with my dad and I accidentally went past the grocery store (now by this time about 3 years had passed since we left Ohio) With that being said my wife brought it to my attention that I went past the store and so I drove up a bit further and we turn around in this parking lot of this church but we didn’t realize it was a church we thought it was just a used car lot with a lot of pretty cars and trucks or something (which we found out later on it actually used to be an old car dealership) so I look at the front door and I see above it it said “Providence Place” so I parked and I told my wife that I was going to go inside and find out and so I went inside and sure enough it was a church just like I suspected so I went outside and I grabbed my oldest son and brought him inside and my wife his brother in behind me, (they are only a year or five days apart) so we went inside and that’s where we have been members of Providence Transformation Church international on 400 Oakley avenue, Lynchburg Virginia ever since.

The reason for that story it’s because…

One of my biggest wishes and goals was to try to have enough money one day to be able to pay for the Nesbitt family to come to our church and Pastor it for one Sunday and get our pastor to meet my family but I have yet to been able to do so but I still hope that I can at least get our sister Regina Nesbitt to come and bless our church with her presence.

I really don’t know exactly where I’m going with all of this because I’m so upset right now so overwhelmed and sad but I love you all I am so grateful for you all being there for me and my wife and if there’s anything that we can do for you you have our number please don’t hesitate.
