Patricia Ann King, age 73. Sunrise March 31, 1942 in Springfield, OH and Sunset February 24, 2016 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. Patricia is a retired Library Aide at Columbus Public Schools. She was a member of East Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where she served as former President of the Choir, Deaconess Board, Chairperson of Pastoral Appreciation and Kitchen Ministry. At Jenkins Terrace she was the President of The Community Room Projects. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents William Jeffrey Williams and Charotte D. Shropshire, stepfather George Shropshire Sr., son Franklin Roosevelt King Jr., and siblings Genevieve Dickerson, Keith Shropshire Sr., and George Shropshire Jr. Left to cherish her memory, Shirley A. King, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Friday March 4, 2016 at East Mt. Olivet Baptist Church 2940 E. 11th Ave. Pastor Joseph Freeman Jr., Eulogist. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.

To the Daughter, Grand Children and Great-Grand Children of Pat King, may the all encompassing peace and comfort of God Almighty be poured upon you. Pat King was one of the most caring, compassionate persons I’ve ever met. And oh how she loved serving the Lord, and singing songs of praise. The last time Pat came to Thursday night Bible Study, she admonished us all by what the Holy Spirit put in her heart, that God was calling us to a higher place of worship and devotion to the Lord.
Oh my goodness her smile, her gift of helping others, and the way she could testify about the working of the Holy Spirit, will be greatly missed.
The Lord himself has gathered another jewel from the earth.
