Patricia (Patsy) Elaine Scott

The Lord called Patricia home, three days after her 73rd birthday, on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Patricia was born in Columbus, Ohio, to parents William and Gloria Scott, and was the oldest of their five children.

At a young age, she developed a love of learning that continued throughout her life. Patsy was a 1965 graduate of Marion Franklin High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, and was ranked in the top 10 of her class. After working as a banker for several years, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree from Franklin University in Business Administration. She retired from Eastland-Fairfield Career Center as a Financial Aid Director.

Patsy was an avid reader and had a true appreciation for the arts. In addition, she loved good food, jazz music, socializing, old movies, comedy and internet shopping.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Gloria; and brother, Todd Scott. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted son, Micah Brandon Scott; two sisters, Marcia (Michael) Mickey of Cincinnati, OH, and Saundra (Purcell-deceased) Scott-Ford; brother, Dr. William (Billy) Scott of Marietta, GA; oldest living relatives, Uncle John and Aunt Geraldine Williams; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Glen Rest.

    Your Mother was such a sweetheart. Her smile was unforgettable! Patsy was so proud of the man you had become! Your loving care for her was remarkable and unmeasurable! She knew how much you loved her! With the passing of your Mother, you are forever changed! The pain will ease over the next days, weeks, months and years but will never totally leave you. Small memories will become priceless! Big memories will bring you both tears and laughter. Allow them all! Your mom will forever be alive in your heart. Make no mistake, she is watching over you.
