Ralph R Simons Jr 59 years old went home to be with the Lord on Monday February 1st, 2016. Ralph was the third child of five born to Ralph Sr and Jeanette Simons on September 10th, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. Ralph was a proud graduate of East High School in Columbus, Ohio, he then went on to serve our country as a member of the United States Army. Later in life he went back to college and attended Columbus State University. Ralph held several careers in security, armored car services, bus driver and various call centers where he held the position of supervisor.

Ralph was a fun loving father who enjoyed all types of music, including singing karaoke on the “Original” Singing Machine, trips to the beach, family time, roller skating, swimming, fishing, and lastly Pepsi, Doritos , & M&M’s! His idea of teaching his children to swim was just throwing them in the deep end and yelling “swim” which is a true reflection of his life he never met a stranger, he lived it to the fullest and walked right up to the deep end of life, jumped in and just swam.

Ralph lived with his companion of over 15 years Lena Jane Curry, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents Ralph Simons Sr, Jeanette Simons, brothers Alphonso Howard & Ronnie Howard. Ralph was survived by sisters Carla Gale, Ronda Young, & Juanita Mosley, brothers Steven Simons Sr. & Lamont Howard; 3 children Monica (Israel) Alaniz, Melody (Salance Sr.) Blakely & Lorraine Arnold. 5 step children step-son, Emry Jr., (Robin) Curry, step daughters Melva Curry, Jean Reynolds, Satia Curry, Keeona (Maurice) Curry Fields, Aunts, Norma Jean Stewart, Delores Mayberry, Dorothy (Eddie) Stanley, Saundra (Charles) Davis, and Uncle, Mr. Charles Hollimgsworth, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
