Condolence Messages

  1. To the family and friends of Raymond you have my sincere condolences. I met Raymond at Work ( NCH) he was a kind, giving individual. He often came by my desk to share his thoughts on a range of subjects, from work to politics always with a smile and his sharp wit peppered with humor. He was loved and will certainly be missed.

    • Casondra Strickland

      Thank you so much!

      • My name is coach Lamar burks. I am from Tulsa Oklahoma. I am a college football teammate of Lonnie Strickland. If i recall, I think I met Raymond once, at Lonnie “ BUCKEYES WEDDING IN WINFIELD KANSAS, back in the early 80’s. I just saw his photo page, and felt like I had known Raymond most of my life. His memories blended in with my own lifestyle. Just wanted buckeye to know that prayers go out to him and his family on this early Monday morn. Condolences are also sent from dr. J’s brothers, an intramural basketball team in which Lonnie played on, while in college. The team consisted of Felix grimmett, Nate walker, Donnie Davison, Willie stokes, David Nichols, and Lamar burks. And also members of the southwestern college Moundbuilder’s football squad. To name a few. I will take the time to watch the memorial services today, online in honor of Raymond Strickland, jr. REST IN PEACE, my BROTHER- REST IN PEACE

My heart is breaking for Raymond’s family. I have known and worked with Raymond at NCH for more than 25 years. He was my go to person for all things finance related and we seemed to always meet at the same time in the cafe for breakfast and lunch. A wonderful man with a witty sense of humor and always dressed like the dapper gentleman he was. Deepest sympathies to all who are left behind to mourn his loss.

  3. My deepest sympathies to Raymond’s family. I’ve known Raymond for over 40 years, beginning in the Sales Accounting dept. at York Steak House. Although I hadn’t seen him for several years, we kept in touch through email. I know he was very proud of his family and loved you all very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  12. Roberta Raymond

My sincere condolences to all the friends and family of Raymond. I was devastated when I heard of his passing. Raymond and I worked together at NCH in Accounts Payable for a good part of the 16 years that I have been there. He always had a smile for you every day and something witty to make you laugh. Days that he was off work I would process all the mail for him and he was always much appreciated. Over the years he always called me Ro Ro, never Roberta. Whenever I was up in the cafe at 255, if they had his favorite cookies (white chocolate macadamia nut) I’d get him a couple and set them on his desk – He’d turn around with a huge smile on his face. He was truly a wonderful friend and I will miss him dearly. He loved his family and spoke of them often. May God give you the strength to get thru your time of mourning and knowing that Raymond is now without pain, give you some comfort.
    You have my Deepest Sympathy

  17. My deepest condolences to the Family of Raymond. I have worked with Raymond for 6 1/2 years. He was always smiling and joking. I know first hand how hard it is to watch a loved one day after day dealing with cancer. Thank goodness my husband is 2 years cancer free. He had stage 4 cancer. It was hard to sit and watch him and not be able to take away his pain. Hope you find comfort that he is no longer in pain. Please find happiness in remembering all the good times you had with him. May God provide your family comfort. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

  18. Casondra, Khi and Family, we send our deepest condolences during this time. Pray that God provides you with strength, understanding and peace. Know that he may not physically be here but spiritually he is; keep going and keep making him proud !
