Reginald Anthony Jones, age 55, affectionately called “Bishop”, was born May 2, 1965, and transitioned from this life June 19, 2020 after a long illness.
Reginald graduated from Ontario High School Class of 1983. He was formerly employed at General Motors Ontario, Ohio. Reginald was a great musician and he played for several churches throughout the state of Ohio.
Reginald was presently a member of and Musician for Providence Baptist Church. Before his transition to his Heavenly Home, Reginald was led to and received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior.
Reginald was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Jones; brother, Robert Clark III; stepfather, Robert Clark Jr.; and paternal grandparents, Deacon Malachi and Mother Persephone Jones.
Reginald is survived by his mother, Esther Ruth Clark; two sons, Antonio Jones of Mansfield, OH and William Fortner of Columbus, OH; one daughter, Kaneisha Jones of Columbus, OH; two stepchildren, Destiny Brown and Jamaar Jones of Mansfield, OH;, one grandson; one step grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
PRIVATE Visitation 4:00 PM and Funeral Service 5:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Providence Baptist Church 112 W 6th Street.
Interment 11:00am Monday, June 29, 2020 at Mansfield Memorial Park.

Sending condolence to my family. When I heard of his loss I was in shock I’ve known Reggie most of my life. But recently got to work with him at Providence Baptist Church and when I tell you in rehearsal there wasn’t a dry moment. He would speak life into you and push you to be greater, I appreciated that about him. So sorry to hear about the passing of Reggie we grew up together at Temple of Faith church. He was a friend and whenever I saw him we always caught up on each other lives. He will be missed and I offer the family my prayers and condolences.

I’m so sorry for your loss! You all have treated me like family and Reggie was no exception! So many fond memories of him. My prayers are with you all
My prayers are with Aunt Queenie and the Jones family. Reggie had a good heart and could really play the hammond organ. I am blessed to have been able to serve with him at Latter Rain C.O.G.I.C., when he was the organist for our youth choir. I will alway remember his sense of humor. As you take your rest in the arms of Jesus, we will continue to thank God for you and your family.

There was never a dull moment when taking care of you. You were the one to keep a person on their toes. If you demanded something you were sure to get it. My last words to you was I love you Reggie. I went to school with Reggie and Road s as me bus….always the jokester. I would also see him at work. May he finally get his rest and no longer be sick. He can now drink as much apple juice as he wants! My sincerest condolences to his family. He will be missed!
