Rena Diane Beverly Dunlap was born October 20, 1952 in Rand, West Virginia to Willie and Leola Dunlap. She entered into the arms of Jesus on March 22, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio.

Rena loved to fish, bowl, and play tag with the kids. She had a big heart with lots of love that she shared with family friends. She also could have a look on her face, which you knew meant “don’t mess with me right now.”

2 Timothy 2:4 and 5, says “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.”

During her life, she fought to overcome many illnesses that attacked her body. But, even her illnesses could not stop her, in her faith. One day while hearing her sister Belle praying, she believed and accepted Christ as her personal savior. On March 22, 2018 she answered his call and became and over comer. She is now victorious and has received her crown.

Rena is preceded in death by parents Willie and Leola (Berger) Dunlap, nephew Armond Dunlap Jr., maternal grandparents Paul Sr., and Mattie Berger, maternal aunts and uncles Jacqueline Moody, Paul Jr., (Sam) and James Berger, paternal grandfather Sandy Sr., aunts and uncles, Sandy Jr., Sonny, Rosie, Bettie, and Little Mamie Dunlap.

She leaves to cherish her memory with brothers Armond (Benonia) Sr., John Q., sister Leola Belle Dunlap, 39 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, also a host of other relatives and friends. She developed lifelong friendships with many and will truly be missed.

Visitation 2:00pm Memorial service 3:00pm Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Marlan J. Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace North, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
