Raynes Eugene Rozzelle Sr., age 64, left to unite with his heavenly Father on January 26, 2020. Ray was born on September 30, 1955 to Virginia and Herman Rozzelle and grew up in Urban Crest, Ohio. He was the youngest of 5 children.

Ray was a proud member and graduate of Linden McKinley High School class of 1973. On May 24, 1975, Ray married his “newlywed bride”, Sandra Daniels. They were married for 44 years.

As a young man, Ray answered the call to preach the word of God and was ordained on February 27, 1989. In his journey to spread The Gospel, Reverend Rozzelle served as a Minister at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church and Associate Pastor at Calvary Tremont Baptist Church , both of in Columbus, Ohio.

Raynes worked as a tool and die maker at General Motors, where he made precious friendships and served as UAW chaplain for 33 years. Following his retirement from GM, he was employed by The Ohio State University for 5 years.

Raynes was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Cleggett; father Herman Rozzelle; brother , Pierre Rozzelle ; sister, Leona Banks and son, Carrik Rozzelle. He leaves to chrish his memories wife, Sandra, daughters, Ebony Rozzelle and Sabrina Daniels; sons, Ray (Robin) Rozzell and Jaisun (Michelle) Walker; sister, Yvette Brown and Iris (George) Morris; 15 grandchildren, Kamaya, Elijah, Israel, Elias, Rayshad and Quintin Rozelle, Raven , Justice and Jordan Daniels, Alexander and Tyler Sommers, Joshua May, Christofer Weartherly and Brooklyn Walker ; as well as a host of nieces , nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation 5:00 PM and Funeral Service 6:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Love Zion Baptist Church, 1459 Madison Avenue.

Interment 11:00am Monday at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

Sandi (Sandra) and family, I hope you all find comfort in knowing that Ray is in his Heavenly home now. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
