Richard L. Pierce, Jr., age 88, was born June 9, 1924 in Lick Run, VA and went Home to be with The Lord on July 27, 2012 in Columbus, OH.

Richard married Bertha Thomas Graves on March 26, 1977 at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Charleston, WV and later moved to Columbus, Ohio.

Richard worked many years and retired from B & O Railroad, and as a Supervisor from The Ohio State University. He was a member of Calvary Tremont Missionary Baptist Church where he served with the Trustee Board and Mens Fellowship Ministries.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Georgia E. and Richard L. Pierce, Sr., daughter Kimberly Pierce, grandson Jacob Graves, sisters Helen Peters, Margaret Griffin, and Charlette Rayford, and brothers Irvin, Clinton, Arthur and Carl.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory, wife Bertha Pierce, sisters Jean (Richard) Bryant and Ernestine Holiday, stepchildren Richard McIntosh and Diane Sherer, grandchildren Toye, Joshua, Richard, Anthony, Ricardo, and Latoya, great grandchildren Tymere, Dewayne and Dominic, special niece Juanita Christian and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
