No one ever enjoyed life or laughed so loudly as our beloved Uncle Boo. He always let you know how he felt and never bit his tongue in telling you HIS truth. We loved him and are saddened by his passing. God will have somebody in Heaven to keep Him on His toes with Uncle Boo up there. Blessings and love to the family. May you be comforted during these times.

Condolence from Alton White on April 12th, 2022 12:54 pm

So sorry to hear that we have lost Richie. He had a great influence on my hockey career.
He was always there, when I needed a boost in those lean years in Columbus, with a pat on the back and a pep talk to cheer me on.
Not only me, but many other players on the club were inspired by his warmth, kindness and generosity.
I will never forget his big warm smile.
Alton White

Condolence from Steve Harms on August 24th, 2022 6:58 pm

Shep could make everyone smile. When the Owls’ offices were in a trailer by one of the Fair Grounds entrances, a daily visit from Shep was a welcome highlight. His smile and infectious laugh could cheer up the darkest days. He absolutely loved Moe Bartoli. I learned everything I knew about Columbus hockey listening to Moe and Shep spinning yarns. Rest In Peace Shep. You were one of a kind.
