Robert Henry Person affectionately known as (Ba-Ba) & Uncle Bobby, was born February 6, 1940 to the late Leviticus J. Person and Mary E. Leftwich-Person.

Robert was a retired Independent Contractor who loved his profession. He enjoyed traveling and venturing off in the world with his children, family, friends, and anyone willing to take that ride. He called many places home such as Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, New York City, Cleveland, Ohio and other places along the east coast. It was then he came back to Ohio that he met his wife Gloria J. Tompkins, whom remained the love of his life for 29 years. He was not only a remarkable husband, uncle, and man; he was also an amazing father who loved all five of his children. Robert spent countless hours on business trips where he was accompanied by his wife and children. His hobbies included fishing with family and friends, as well as enjoying a good home cooked meal with all whom he loved.

Robert had a kind heart and shared it with the world. He would embrace anyone whom he laid eyes on without any regrets. Robert accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was a member of The Greater Bethlehem Temple Church with Pastor David E. Norman residing. On Saturday March 30, 2013, Robert was called home to be with the Lord. His kind smile, humorous laugh, humble heart, and warm spirit will be truly missed by all.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Gloria J. Person, brother Jack L. Person of Somerset KY, sister Barbara Ann Fells of Columbus OH, son’s Robert H. Person Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Toby G. Person of Columbus, OH, daughters Lisa Griffin of Cleveland, OH, DeNeisha Sams, and Dierdre (Peachie) Person of Columbus OH. He was also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Robert H. Person is where he truly belongs now, in the arms of the almighty Lord Jesus Christ. Where someday his wife, children, and family will reunite and rejoice in heavenly favor. He was loved by all who knew him and will continue to be in our hearts. Please remember to Live, Love and Laugh
