Robert Lee “Bobby” Fuller Sr.,

Former Kansas City resident Robert Lee Fuller, age 75 died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Bobby was born November 20, 1944 in Columbus Ohio to John and Laura Fuller. Bobby could light up a room with his contagious heart and pretty smile. At a very early age, Bobby would begin building long lasting friendships that would last a lifetime. Bobby would work for Ohio State University Hospital prior to moving to Kansas City, KS. He worked for the City of Kansas Transit Department where he was a supervisor. Bobby retired after twenty five years of service and he returned to Columbus to help take care of his parents in early two thousands.

Bobby enjoyed his life with his childhood best friends; Eric Stewart and Ross Bange, spending time with family; including cousins and spoiling children with extra change in his pocket, dancing, fishing and listening to jazz. Bobby was a very simple man with very little need from others. Bobby will be missed most for his supportive spirit and his childhood stories about being the prettiest little boy and the jealousy of his siblings.

Bobby is survived by his sisters; Elizabeth Sheppheard and E. Anna (Ike) Harper; two children, Robert Fuller Jr. and Rita (Shawn) Yates; grandchildren, Shanikka McPheters Fuller, Aubri Caslin and Devin Fuller; great grandchildren, Mikel Higgens and Joselyn Mcpheters; loyal nieces, and nephews and extended family.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father John; mother, Laura and his brother Charles Butch Fuller.

Bobby will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving devoted father, cheerful neighbor and loyal soul.

Dear Family,

We offer you our condolences on the loss of Cousin Bobby. He was one-of-a-kind. Probably unbeknownst to him, but he is one of the reasons we were reunited with our HFN family. And for that, we are grateful. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do, please reach out to us.

Sending you love from the Gould family.

To the Fuller Family..
I shared today Bobby’s home going service and during the service I reflected on the neighborhood of Galloway and Arnesal Avenues..the place where we had fun and shared childhood playing. Bobby rode a mean bicycle making the gravel shot high in the air when he would put on the brakes and gave his sister Anna the little boy blues..Felton Elementary School playground are home away from home! Mrs. Barksdale everyone’s grandmother…God Bless You..with love Shirley Pritchard..507 N. Galloway Avenue

Condolence from Viola Cooper on July 21st, 2020 12:45 pm

To the Fuller Family, you’re in our thoughts, in our prayers, and in our hearts. We got to know Bobby through his sister Anna Harper. Sometimes we are left speechless in what we can say to make those we love and care for feel better.
Today, the children of Eddie and Ethel Cooper are speechless, so from our heart to your heart we send love.

What a beautiful service. Condolences to Rita, family and friends. Robert Fuller was a senior at East High School when I was a freshman–graduating class of 1965. I did not know Bobby personally and seldom crossed paths with seniors. What I do remember is the strikingly handsome fellas and he was certainly one of them. It’s sad that he passed so young. His legacy will live on through his loved ones. May sweet memories be of comfort. God Bless you all.
