Robert Lee Martin left this life suddenly April 11, 2020. He was born to Ruth and James Martin September 29, 1953. He was preceded in death by first wife Denise M. Martin; Mother, Ruth M. Moore, Father, James Martin and Brothers, John, Jerry and Wesley Martin.
Robert Lee attended Central High School where he later married Denise Burke. Out of this union was born three children: His second marriage to Thelma Harding he was blessed with a third daughter.
Robert Lee Martin enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the service he worked various jobs until he became employed with the State of Ohio as an Activity Therapist working with the severely retarded. He later went on to work with the Ohio Dept. of corrections as a Corrections Officer until retirement. He was recognized as officer of the year during his tenure.
He was associated with The Eagles Motorcycle Club. He attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Robert Lee enjoyed playing the electric guitar, fishing, weight lifting and riding bikes.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Portia Martin, Robert Lee Jr., Tina Timmons , Rai ‘Shauna Martin , 32 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He leaves, brother James Steward, Sisters: Evangelist Jean Rash, Mother Hazel Terry, Jacquelyn (Henry) Moon, Brenda Donaldson, and Rosemarie Steward.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday April 25, 2020 at Marlan Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace North 2500 Cleveland Ave.
