Robert Charles Moss Sr. was born September 17, 1938 in Montgomery, West Virginia to Mattie L Moss and Lewis Moss.
Robert graduated from J.T High School in Nelsonville, Ohio in 1955.
Robert got married in 1957 to Bertha Bozman. To that union, 7 children were born; they divorced. Robert remarried Patricia and to that union, 1 child was born; they divorced and he remained single.
Robert worked 30 years as a Construction Inspector for The City of Columbus, Ohio; he retired in 2000.
Robert was a very private and humble person. He loved his sports, he gulfed until is health failed him in 2014. He played summer league softball at Linden Park. He also was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavs, and the Cincinnati Reds.
Robert played several musical instruments. He loved guitar, and also played the trumpet and enjoyed bowling.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Owens and Barbara Palmers.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Kevin Moss, Robert Moss Jr., Tommy Moss, Jerry Moss, and Charles Moss; daughters, Veronica Moss, Kimberly Moss, and Daberina Oates; brother, Tommy Hall; sister, Patricia Smith; lifelong friend, Bobby Brown; 25 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Robert will be missed by all.
Visitation 12:00pm Funeral 1:00pm Tuesday August 22, 2017 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens

I work with Bob at construction inspection. I was the front desk gal. He use yo tease me about my candy dish l had out for everyone ! Now he is in the arms of our Lord! For his family!
