In loving memory of Roderick Keith Crenshaw, age 56 who departed this life October 7, 2021

Roderick was born December 11, 1964 in Warren Ohio. He was the son of Henry J. Sr. and Mary E. Jones Crenshaw.

Roderick lived in Columbus Ohio for 40 years. He attended Warren Western Reserve High School class of 1983 and The Ohio State University class of 1988.

Roderick enjoyed fishing, playing cards, doing puzzles, and reading.

Roderick was preceded in death by his parents, Henry J. Sr. and Mary E. Jones Crenshaw and grandparents

Roderick is survived by 5 brothers, Henry J. Jr of Columbus Ohio, Reverend Harry (Rhonda) Crenshaw, Gregory (Valerie) Crenshaw, Gentry Crenshaw, and Reginald (Renee) Crenshaw all of Warren Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, close family, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Monday, October 25, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

  4. So sorry to hear about Rod’s passing. While we seemed to lose contact over time, Rod was one of best friends in high school. We were able to push each other academically at WWR. I have a picture from the Tribune where we were honored as “Outstanding Negro Students”. Glad that time have progressed for sure. We used to razz each other by calling out our mother’s name. “How’s Marian doing – he would say. RIP to my friend abs blessings to the entire Crenshaw family.

  9. All of Rods customers and dear friends from the waffle house just learned of his passing today. Our hearts are broken. He was the nicest guy ever. Had a huge clientele at the waffle house. Many people only went there to see Rod! RIP till we meet again!

    Just hear a saddest news from my husband last night which is his best friend at waffle house,he always gave us Apple Pie before Christmas also he is our daughter Godfather and Bestman of our wedding, My husband and Rod lost contact when the Pandemic start, last night he had to go home from work when he found out about Rod. RIP
