Rosa Lee McDaniel passed away on October 1, 2021. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 22, 1943.
Rosa Lee retired after 17 years with New York State Dept. of Mental health. Rosa Lee loved to cook and listen to R & B music and enjoyed gambling and playing cards.
Rosa was called home by her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2021.
Rosa is preceded in death by her husband, James McDaniel; son, George McDaniel; mother, Marie Owens (Samuel); father, Isaiah Owens; twin sister, MaryLee Holland; sister, Luthermae Ware; sister, Bessie Mae Foy; and brother, Larry Owens.
Rosa leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Julia (Bret) Curtis; sons, James (Mary Jackson) McDaniel and Anthony (Sheila ) McDaniel; sisters, Gloria (John) Carr and Sylvia Morrison; cousin, Willie Mae Romaine; sister-in-law, Willie Mae Jackson; brother-in-law, Luther McDaniel; grandchildren, Devirre, Shanillya, Shaqueena, George, twins Alonzo and Lorenzo, James Jr, Ashleigh, Austin, Tiffany, Jennifer, and Anthony Jr.; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We all loved her very much and will miss her eternally.

Even though I couldn’t be there for your service I was there watching. Grandma you were so loved by all of us. I’ll remember the laughs we had and the love we gave each other. I will never forget the memories we shared. I thank God for the time he gave us with you. I love you so much. I’m hurting right now so bad so I know you are ok.
