RoShawn Lamont West (Hughes) was born in Columbus, Ohio to Charles West and Rhonda Hughes on February 21, 1977. RoShawn departed this life suddenly on June 4, 2020. He attended Columbus City Schools. He worked as a laborer and formerly for Ikea. RoShwan loved to fish, his family, and his Pittsburgh Steelers.
RoShawn was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chris Hughes.
RoShawn leaves to cherish his memories, son, RoShawn L. West, Jr; daughters, Shamyra and Heaven West, and Jamylah Smith; grandmother, Anna Early; mother, Rhonda Hughes; father, Charles West; Godmother, Pat King; brothers, Major (Stacey) Hurd, Jr and Rhondale Carter-Hughes; special friends, Shawn King, Cecil Rodgers, and Jeffery Finch Jr.; nieces, Lyna and Lillian Hurd; nephews, Major and Malcolm Hurd; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Private Visitation 6:00 PM and Memorial Service 7:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
