Russell Aaron Childs, age 51, of Columbus, Ohio went on to be with his heavenly Father on November 22, 2021.  He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 3, 1970.

Russell worked at SafeLite for many years and was well loved by the people he worked with.  He played little league football for the Raiders.  He enjoyed cutting hair for family and friends.  He was known as the computer wiz and any electronics.   He loved his car whom he affectionately called “Pearlie Mae”.  He loved music and was known as the CD man.  His favorite football team is Dallas Cowboys.

Russell deeply loved and cherished his only daughter Onesty Childs.  He also had a special relationship with his rode dawg, and niece Myca, who acts just like him.

Russell is preceded in death by his father, Russell Allen Childs and mother, Marie Elaine Childs-McCrory.

Russell is survived by sister Carita (Jay Brooks) Elizabeth Childs; daughter, Onesty Childs; wife, Alisha Childs; stepfather, Ricky McCrory; step-siblings, Mickie, Meyah, and Tonya McCrory; niece, Myca Lindsey; nephew, Bradford Woolfolk; special companion, Dana Moore; special friends, Kayzon Phillips, Lamont Dingess, and Darrell Rogers; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday, December 11, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
