Ryan Shelton Smith was born on the morning of January 20, 1987 to Tammy and Rory Bryant Smith at

Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas Texas.

At an early age Ryan accepted Christ as his personal Savior at Meredith Temple C.O.G.I.C under the late Elder Hezekiah Meredith. Ryan attended elementary, middle and high school in Columbus City Schools where he was labeled as gifted. Prior, his mother noticed he saw things differently at an early age as well and wondered in her heart.

Ryan loved music and being musically inclined lead him to produced beats. He was an unusual thinker and had the mind of an inventor and would draw out blueprints of his latest inventions.

Friendly and even funny at times, Ryan had a lot of friends. He would often say “man I know a lot of people.” Ryan truly loved all of his friends and enjoyed hanging out with them as much as possible. Those times brightened up his life.

Ryan loved his family. Although he was macho, from time to time he would show a softer-sensitive side. Ryan didn’t hug very much but when he did you knew he really meant it. When he heard of his mother’s hardship upon his hospital bed, he could not rest until he removed the hardship and worked out the problem himself for her. And then and only then he was able to rest.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Sarah Ann Nunnery and Gail Raspberry. Left to cherish his memory mother Tammy Smith, father Rory (Charity) Smith, brother Rory Nunnery-Smith, sister Janaye Smith, grandfather Cornelius A. (Leslie Epps) Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation 6:00pm and Funeral 7:00pm Friday July 1, 2016 at Meredith Temple COGIC 1158 Mt. Vernon Ave. Interment at the family cemetery in Mississippi.
