Samuel Brisco Jr, age 76. Sunrise August 27, 1943 and Sunset July 17, 2020. Sam was born in Rayville, Louisiana To Eliza Patrick and Samuel Lee Brisco Sr.
Sam was a self made man of many blessings. Sam moved to Columbus Ohio when he was 11 years old to live with his father and step mother Sophia Brisco. He left Central High School and Married Barbara Anderson. Sam worked hard bought his 1st home at age 20 and raised two step children. He remarried Pat Fowler in which he was blessed with 2 children of his own. Sam became employed by Jet coat where he started as a common laborer and left as the first black Vice president in the companies history. Sam then met his current wife and life long partner Ruth Ann Burton. Sam enjoyed cooking Politics, family gatherings, jokes, crossword puzzles and business. In 1988 Sam started his own cleaning company where he made his 1st million.
Same was preceded in death by His Father Samuel Lee Brisco Sr., His Mother Eliza Patrick, son Calvin Burton and a host of brothers and sisters.
He is survived by His wife Ruth Ann Brisco, Children, Bryon Brisco Sr., Kimberly Brisco-Hollis (William), Juanlynda Scarbrough (Calvin) and a host of brothers sisters, nieces nephews, grand children, and great grand children. Sam rededicated his life to Christ and was a member of Southfield Missionary Baptist Church.
Private services Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
A mask is mandatory.
Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
It was always a pleasure chatting with Sam and seeing his smiling face at North Central. He will be missed.
