Mrs. Sandra Janise Custard was born September 5, 1959 to George Coleman and Barbara Coleman-Bowden in Cottondale, Alabama.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined 19th Street Pentecostal Rapture Church, under the leadership of Bishop Stewart.

Sandra graduated from Holt High School in Alabama. She was affectionately known to many as “Patsy”. She was a devoted wife and a stay at home mother. She spent most of her life in Cottondale, Alabama. After the passing of her loving husband, she moved to Columbus, Ohio to start a new life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Lee Custard; mother, Barbara Coleman-Bowden and brother, Ronnie Coleman.

Pasty was called home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2020.

She leaves to mourn and to cherish her memories her father, George Coleman; sons, Earnest Coleman (Andrea Shirley) of Columbus, Ohio and Shaun Coleman of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; daughter, Lashonda Coleman-Rice of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, David Coleman of Marietta, Georgia, Michael Coleman, and Larry Coleman, both from, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sister, Joyce Coleman of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

PRIVATE Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

A MASK IS MANDATORY.

    To the family of Mrs Patsy. I am.so deeply sorry for your loss. I recently had the chance to meet this beautiful woman and shortly after meeting her I had a chance to spend a few hrs with her.. just her and I.. I’ll tell you what I laughed so hard with her .. she definitely had a great sense of humor and was so full of life . I wil always cherish the memory tht we shared. The family has my deepest condolences. I will continue to pray that God give you all the strength that is needed to get your through this time .
