Sarah E. Tyree, age 82, was born April 1, 1936 in Stotesbury, WV. the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Shepard. Sarah Elizabeth Tyree transitioned peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 surrounded by family.
In 1952, Sarah married Clarence Leon Tyree, in a union that would produce three children and span 57 years.

After marrying, Sarah obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University, and would later work for OSU, JDC, Rosemont, and would eventually retire from the Columbus City School District.

Sarah is preceded in death by husband Clarence L. Tyree, parents Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Shepard, brothers Mr. Clarence “Shep” Shepard, and Mr. James “Jimmie” Shepard, and sister Marie Gwynn.
She leaves to cherish her memory; children Deborah Brown, Darlene Tyree, and Clarence (Tracey) Tyree, brother in law Dallas (Barbara) Tyree, and dear friend Shirley Oliver, also a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends,

We love you very much and will miss you; but we find comfort in knowing that God loved you best and that you are at rest in his presence. We will always cherish your memory.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday, January 26, 2019 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery

To the Tyree family. My heart is with you and your family at this time of your loss. There is comfort in knowing God’s promises about the resurrection hope.
