HEAVEN’S ANGELS delivered Sa’Riya LeeAnn Marie Taylor her wings, swiftly on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Those who affectionately knew and loved her called her “Red”.
Sa’Riya’s birth on Thursday, January 17, 2013, was a blessing to her parents, Shatera Taylor and Ja’Nei Brightwell. From the very beginning, they knew that Red was destined to be special. Her vibrant personality was a source of joy for all whom she encountered.
Red was a great “Big Sister” and she enjoyed hanging out at the swimming pool with her lil brother and sister. She loved to cheer and dance; and she would do TikTok all day long. Braiding Hair, Drawing and Calling out “Bingo” on her favorite cars were passions of Sa’Riya’s and she was excellent at each task. She was a student at Fairmoor Elementary school, where she completed the third grade.
Sa’Riya’s life was just beginning. She was full of potential and had such a bright future ahead of her. She accomplished more in her short nine years with her bubbly personality than many accomplish in an average life-span.
Sa’Riya (Red) was preceded in death by great grandmothers, Katherine Evans and Ivra Brightwell, great-great grandmother, Francita Taylor and cousin, Amir Hawkins.
She leaves to forever cherish her memories: parents, Shatera Taylor, Antonio Jenrett and JaNei Brightwell; brothers, Antonio Jenrett, Jr, Montez Taylor; sisters, A’Lanii Jenrett, Malaysia Taylor; grandparents, Timothy (Shonda) Taylor, Latisha Hargrove, Senita Spears, Tony Radford, Josie Jenrett; great grandmothers, Belinda Kendricks, Fannie Wakefield; aunts, Shantavia, Ayonna, Nickoal, Shaniqua, Risa, Mya, Leah, Jazmine, Corie; uncles, Camryn, Jaylen; special aunt, Patty (Brian) Taylor Watkins, special cousins, Honey, Rinny, Taeo, Leek, Bryson, Quez, Keeva, Jacob, Ky, Fat Fat, Zy, Marion, Mier, Karter, Bry, King, Ari, Mara, C.J., Mika, Moe, NayNay. best friend, Arielle; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
