SEARCY LEE WHEELER was born November 4, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio to Charles and Eva Mae Wheeler. Searcy departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 17, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Searcy attended the Columbus Public Schools where she graduated from South High School. Searcy was employed with several companies until she retired from the CASS Information System Company.

Searcy is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Eva Mae Wheeler, brother Larry Eugene Wheeler and brother in-law Marion Carter Evans.

Searcy is survived by her loving daughter LaToya (David) Stewart; grandsons Thomas Hogg III, and DaVion Stewart; sisters Yvonne (Bunny) Wheeler, Charsley Evans; brothers Charles (Ethelene), Wheeler, Jr., Davy (Erica) Wheeler and very special friend Allen D. (Bubbie) Ross. She’s also survived by nieces Nicole (Ernest) Clinkscale, Charlene Anderson, Sante’ Wheeler, nephews Stefan Wheeler, Derrick (Semicka) Wheeler, Charles Jr. (Carolyn) Bell, Larry Wheeler, Jr. and Raekwon Wheeler; great nieces Janae Wheeler, Elissa Clinkscale, Skyla Wheeler, Brailyn Bell, Brittanee’ (Caleb) Ware, Brianna (Jojuan) Campbell; great nephews’ Xavier Wheeler, Jabriel Wheeler, Stefan Wheeler, Jr., Ramon Clifford; great-great niece Amelia Vera; cousins Barbara J. Diggs, Randy Walker, Gregory Walker, Teresa Walker, Tamela Walker, Anita (Robert J.) Harper; close family friends the Crawford family, Don Prim, Larry (Pooch) Wyche and Lashawn (Rudy) Robinson.

We walked to South high School everyday and rode to our graduation together , So many fun memories !!! Especially when she pulled out the 1973 year book none stop laughter.   3. Sending my heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Wheeler Family. Searcy and I attended Jr. High and High school and, Hope Church together. I use to hangout at their home and enjoy Searcy making me laugh so much along with her brothers and sisters!!! She always said I was the Berkeley kid that got to know “Everybody” on our street from one end to the other. I will treasure those many precious memories and hope the family shall always do the same!
