Shareese Dixon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 8th, 1967 to Michael and Marva Dixon. She grew up with her two siblings, older sister LaReese and younger sister Michelle. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the age of 55.

At the age of 29, she gave birth to her daughter, Ramiah Thornhill. She was so happy that she finally had a child to call her own. She so loved being a Mom and an Auntie. Eventually, she moved to Massachusetts for a year until she finally settled in Columbus, Ohio to be close to the rest of her family. While in Ohio, she started working from Express Scripts where she continued to work for the next 17 years. She loved helping people and teaching people the ropes of the job. She attended Westinghouse High School and The Pittsburgh Beauty Academy.

Shareese’s favorite sports team was the Pittsburgh Steelers and she had every item that you can imagine with their logo on it. She loved to travel and visit new places. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings to play games, she always brought the fun and good times. She was a techie who enjoyed traveling, astronomy, photography and nature. She enjoyed chatting about the latest tv series, movies and politics.

Shareese took great pride in her child’s accomplishments, including Ramiah’s recent college graduation. She was there for her entire family throughout her life and never failed to extend an ear, impart unforgettable memories or to have an open door to her home. Shareese had a kind, caring heart and always put the ones she loved in front of herself. She was an overcomer and achieved many personal goals. She would want us to appreciate and love one another. She’d want us to celebrate her life and never give up on what we want to accomplish. She would also want us to know that she loves all of us and will always be here in spirit.

Shareese was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Maurice Hudgins and Florence McFarland; and nephew, Jabryl Morris.

Shareese is survived by her her mom, Marva Dixon; daughter, Ramiah Thornhill; sisters, LaReese and Michelle Dixon; nieces and nephew, Shavone and Shanell Morris, and Douglas Dixon; as well as many great nieces and nephews; also 11 year old furbaby, Thorne.

Shareese was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

Condolence Messages

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss. Shareese was such a great person and friend. I had worked with Shareese for the past 12 years and trust me when I say that work is definitely not the same without her. She was the 1st person to get my “Good Morning” every day I logged in. She made my days better. It’s not a stretch to say she was my work bestie. You know, that person who keeps you sane and knows how to calm you down or lift you up, makes you laugh and tells it like it is? That was Shareese. I loved how excited she was every time she spoke of her daughter and how proud she was of her. She was such a proud Mom and she let everyone know it. I miss that woman every day and am still shocked that we have lost such a great friend. Love and miss you Shareese. Prayers for the family.

  2. Remembering your family in heartfelt prayer.
May God comfort you through his word the Bible and the gift of prayer. Thinking of you all.
